Cancellation Policy
1. Purpose This policy outlines the guidelines and expectations for clients attending psychology sessions at Eutierria Psychology. It aims to ensure a professional, safe, and effective therapeutic environment. 2. Confidentiality All sessions are confidential. Information disclosed in therapy will not be shared without client consent, except in the following circumstances: There is a risk of harm to the client or others. Legal obligations require disclosure (e.g., court orders, child protection concerns). The client provides written consent to share information with third parties (e.g., GP, psychiatrist, family members). 3. Appointment Scheduling and Cancellations Sessions are by appointment only and can be scheduled via phone or email. Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or non-attendance may incur a cancellation fee. Repeated missed appointments may lead to a review of the suitability of ongoing therapy. 4. Fees and Payments Fees for sessions will be discussed at tintake and are payable at the end of each session unless otherwise arranged. Medicare and private health rebates may be available for eligible clients. Payments can be made via EFTPOS, credit card, or direct bank transfer. 5. Session Structure and Duration Standard sessions run for 50 minutes. Group therapy and extended sessions may vary in duration and fees. Late arrivals may result in a shorter session to respect subsequent appointments. 6. Therapy Approach Eutierria Psychology provides evidence-based treatment approaches. 7. Client Responsibilities Attend sessions regularly and on time. Actively participate in therapy and complete agreed-upon strategies between sessions. Notify the psychologist of any changes in circumstances that may impact treatment. 8. Communication and Emergency Support Eutierria Psychology is not an emergency service. In a crisis, clients should contact emergency services (000) or a crisis helpline (Lifeline: 13 11 14). Emails and phone calls will be responded to within a reasonable timeframe but are not for urgent matters. 9. Termination of Therapy Therapy is a collaborative process. The decision to end therapy can be made mutually based on progress and goals. If a client disengages without communication, therapy may be considered inactive after a reasonable period. Clients are encouraged to discuss any concerns about therapy at any time.
